CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Training Program
When, not if, a big event disaster occurs, we are on our own. Together we are Better, Be Prepared. EPG can help you get ready. Consider the CERT Training Program.
Offered for free by the City of Huntington Beach, the program prepares residents to assist themselves, their families, and their communities during emergencies when first responders may be delayed or overwhelmed. This FEMA-endorsed program teaches basic disaster response skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue, and disaster medical operations.
Next dates: March 20 - 22, 2026; October 23 - 25, 2026. Registration below.

Emergency Preparedness Expo 2026
October 2026 (Date/Time TBD) - Recreation Area. Learn about emergency preparedness from many of your volunteer neighbors who will respond to an emergency or disaster in Huntington Landmark. Various vendors and HB resource staff may also be on hand.
The Great California ShakeOut 2026
Thursday, October 15, at 10:16 am. Every resident is encouraged to participate in the California ShakeOut drill by practicing the Drop, Cover and Hold-on. For more information go to the ShakeOut website, https://www.shakeout.org/california/
If participating, residents place their " I’m Okay" sign in the window or on doors of the two-story units
